Synopsis: Deivam Thantha Veedu is the story of two cousins who are completely opposite from each other. Seetha, who is very innocent and illiterate and other is Priya who is very wise and greedy. The Story gears up when there is a marriage proposal surrounding these 2 girls. Chitra(Sudha Chandran) seeks a daughter in law for her son Ram Kumar Chakravarthy. Ram is already in Love with Vanitha and (Ram's sister) Kalpana is in love with Ramesh(Vanith's brother). When Chitra chooses Seetha over Priya as her DIL , Banumathy( Priya's mom) is devastated. Ram agrees to marry seetha out of respect and love for his mom without knowing seetha is illiterate. Kalpana tries to make seetha deny the marriage because her love is at stake.Seetha marries Ram and Priya tricks Ravi (Ram's cousin)into marrying her.

hand it over to Seetha saying that it is a prayer. The teacher catches Seetha for copying in the test. Malathi tells Chithra and
everyone that Seetha is a disgrace to their family.Chithra comes to know the truth and she rages at Seetha. Priya is delighted as
her plan has succeeded. Chithra asks Priya not to indulge in Seetha's education and asks her to stay out of it.
